Please read all information regarding submission of an abstract. If you have not read the guidelines, STOP and do so before filling out this form. Any abstract not conforming to the guidelines will not be accepted and will be returned for the necessary corrections.

DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS IS MIDNIGHT JULY 14, 2011

DO NOT rely on the automatic confirmation at the time of submission. If a WRITTEN confirmation is not received by MAIL by July 23, 2011, then contact SESC by email at sesc@sesc.org.

WARNING: Do not forget to choose your abstract TYPE and CATEGORY from the drop down boxes before entering your contact info. Contact info means exactly that: we WILL be contacting you by mail and by email following submission. Please use addresses and phone/faxes that will reach you personally.

General Understandings

Your submission acknowledges these general understandings:

1. That this material has not been presented or submitted for presentation or consideration other than at The Southeastern Surgical Congress Scientific Meeting.

2. That the Editorial Board of "The American Surgeon" assumes copyright ownership and has the right of first refusal for publication of the material. Acceptance for paper presentation on the Program section of the Scientific Meeting obliges you to the submission of an original manuscript for consideration by "The American Surgeon" at the time of the meeting. Failure to do so may result in sanctions against future abstract submissions.

3. Presenters/authors are responsible for:

a. meeting all SESC deadlines

b. completing the registration form and paying appropriate fees

c. all travel expenses associated with attending the meeting.

4. If abstract is offered a Poster Position and that Position is accepted, the presenters/authors understand that their attendance is required on Sunday and Monday of the Scientific Meeting. Failure to do so may result in sanctions against future abstract submissions and will result in a charge for the Poster Presentation Board.
